MINI LUXATOR EXTRACTION SET OF 4
Titanium coated blade, for less friction, and easier extractions.
How to use 1. Verify the indication and correct teeth on the current X-ray. 2. Perform any eventual separation if more than one root, especially if the root is divergent. 3. On the X-ray, measure the distance from the most coronal part of the tooth/ root to the most apical part of the root. 4. Put the appropriate instrument in the paradontal gap slanted 30-45 degrees from the estimated root to ensure that the instrument really works in the paradontal gap. 5. To maintain maximum control, place at least one finger as support on the dental arch as well as on the lower end of the instrument throughout the whole work process. 6. Press lightly and slightly twist the instrument sideways approximately 2 mm while allowing the root anatomy to determine the angle of the instrument against the root. 7. Repeat the procedure around the entire tooth/ root. 8. Proceed around the tooth/ root once again, but this time to a depth of 3 mm. 9. Do not forget that the instrument should be slanted away from the root to avoid accidental misalignment, such as between the mucous membrane/ gingiva and alveolar bone, which can cause unintended trauma. 10. The force that is used to place the instrument into the parodontal gap can be greatly increased by the help of a surgical mallet* whose force is applied to the knob on the upper part of the instrument. 11. When a maximum of two-thirds of the root length (see point 3) is penetrated by the instrument around the entire teeth, the gap can be extended with Periotome if necessary. 12. The tooth/ root is then removed with forceps Do not use the mallet in combination with P4 (Dual Edge) as the force may be larger than intended
