Course Description:
This comprehensive, hands-on course provides general dentists with practical, step-by-step instruction in safe and efficient phlebotomy for in-office blood collection, with direct clinical application to platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) for facial esthetics and regenerative dental procedures.
Participants will learn how to properly draw a patient’s blood and follow established protocols for processing and utilizing PRF derived from centrifuged blood. Clinical applications include microneedling with PRF and facial injections to enhance collagen production, improve skin quality, and support overall facial esthetics. These techniques allow clinicians to leverage the patient’s own biologics to promote natural regenerative responses in a controlled, predictable manner.
The course places strong emphasis on venous anatomy, proper equipment selection, patient preparation, and venipuncture technique, ensuring participants understand not only how to perform blood draws safely, but how to integrate them efficiently into daily clinical workflows. Common challenges such as missed veins, hematoma formation, and vasovagal responses are reviewed in detail, along with proven strategies for complication prevention and management.
In addition, the course reviews foundational principles of dental exodontia, including proper instrumentation selection, extraction techniques, and patient safety considerations.
